• All Alitalia passengers are allowed to carry 1 piece of hand-baggage with dimensions 55cm*35cm*25cm and up to 5kg (personal belongings such as briefcases and portable computers are considered to be hand luggage and can be taken onboard. • For the Economy Class passengers of Alitalia, baggage must not exceed 20kg. Passengers of Alitalia's Business Class can carry up to 30kg for free and infants up to 10 kg.
• All members of the Frequent Flyer Program of Alitalia earn free transport of some sport equipment and priority in baggage collection and can carry up to 10kg (for Ulisse Club members) or 20kg more than the usual baggage limit (for members of Freccia Alata Club).
• The extra charge for overweight luggage within Italy is 10 euros per kilo, to destinations in Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa ,Middle East the charge is 20 per kilo, and to Asian destinations it is 30 per kilo.

• On Alitalia flights three cabin classes are offered: Magnifica Business Class on long haul, Business Class on medium haul and Economy Class
• On Alitalia flights the pet transportation is permitted inside the aircraft's cabin as long as pets do not totally exceed 8kg (up to 5 animals of the same species) along with the special cage weight and only if those pets are puppies, kittens or birds.
